If the monochrome is black and white, then how do you use the filter effects? In the instruction manual it gives specific uses for the filters but all I can ever get is black and white and can't tell any difference. Help.

@SlashIsGod619 : If you have the camera in your hand it's the left button of the two at the top right corner of the camera. At the top of the camera it is marked with an asterisk like symbol. If it doesn't work check if you have enabled AF in Live View mode in Personal Settings (first entry on the last yellow Menu tab.) It's the 8th Personal Entry that says "Auto Focus/Drive" and gives you three options: Disabled, Quick mode, Live Mode. Hope that helps you :).

The problem with that camera is that it has the same level of noise as an aps-c on Canon. Wait for a refined Sony sensor in a D700x, if we'll ever see one. The noise, the poor AF and lack of lenses makes Sony a big no no. Or even better: get the 5D Mk II. As for me: This will be my new camera. Perfect companion fo my 5D mk II....

Added Mpixls doesnt mean squat. The only thing Sony achieved with the A series is break the world record for Largest RAW File Sizes. Besides, this is a new niche for Canon. I believe this will seriously knock the D300 off its pedestal.

Es que las descargas no son ilegales cuando son sin animo de lucro, la copia privada (que es lo que obtenemos al bajar canciones o pelis del emule) no es ilegal a menos que lo hagamos con la intención de venderla, los derechos de autor permiten claramente el uso de copias privadas y ni siquiera habría que pagar un canon por ello, ese canon ni siquiera llega directamente a los autores, seguro que mayor parte se lo queda la disquera.

La SGAE tiene un medio por el cual puedes solicitar que te sea reembolsado el canon que te cobran por tus cds por ejemplo para grabar tus propias canciones o bien ficheros, etc.. que no son susceptibles de derechos de autor. Obviamente debes demostrarlo, mandarles pliegos, cartas y demás, eso si te dicen los pasos que debes hacer. Hay un programa de radio que lo intentó, a la 6º llamada desistió. SGAE = Antiguos corsarios, patente de corso antigua en el siglo XXI

Estoy de acuerdo en que hay muchos temas que debatir sobre la SGAE, y que no me gustan, incluyendo el que tu denuncias. Probablemente no se reparte bien, debería haber competencia, y más transparencia. Pero, a menos que se trate de musica copyleft, se debería pagar un tanto por derechos de autor, de algún modo. Si todo es gratis, la industria se hunde y no hay estímulo para la creación de calidad (que cuesta una pasta)

He said if you don't want chdk in your camera anymore, then erase it from the card or switch the card with another. There is another option! The only way to activate the chdk on your camera is to switch your lock switch on the card to the lock position. To diable chdk and use your camera's NORMAL interface, then switch the lock switch back to unlock:D

@pandanese90 The battery grip makes it feel better to hold, and it makes it look a quite bit "cooler". Yes it does come with a flash in the camera. But it can't be compared to an external flash. I hope this helps you on deciding which one to get. Well if you need something compact to record get a Canon camcorder. Preferably the M series, but if you can put an extra hundred then go for the S series. Tigerdirect (dot) com has cheap prices.

@pandanese90 Depends, if you would like to take pictures too, then get the T2i. You can record amazing footage. You also have a variety of lenses that will give your films look spectacular. But keep in mind, if you are getting a DSLR get a tripod, flash, battery grip, etc. (battery grip optional, more for aesthetics looks) If you can't afford those, then go for the VIXIA HF series.

thanks but the only reason i had a chance to get a xti was because my dad got an t1i and he gave me a chance for his old one, i took the xti, im glad i did

@RiverJH95 never get bridge cameras, they are like slr's but don't offer the speed. what kind of camera offers near instant shutter lag? an slr. the xti is rather old, maybe you should get the t1i or the xsi.

Eh, I'm not a big fan of live view. One of the biggest points of a DSLR camera over a point-and-shoot in my opinion is the immersion that the viewfinder gives you. Switching to the LCD screen seems extremely counter-productive for me, and IMO if you need live view you're better off with a P&S.

if you want to do low level/locked on a tripod macro shots i think "live view" will be a big benefit to you. that is if you can find a model cheap enough with one on :)
