I always do the high-low adjustments while chain is on the middle chain ring. I check afterwards to see if adjustment is oke on inner chain ring (low limit) and outer chain ring (high limit). That will do.

You forgot to set your chain ring in the proper place when making rear derailleur high low adjustments. When setting the high limit you should be on the outermost chain ring, and then the inner chain ring when setting the low limit. You missed that important step and yet you call this advanced?

Not enough information for me to diagnose it. If its not fuel or fire it may be mechanical. No way for me to pin the problem down here. I think you need to take it to another shop. A good technician will fix it or tell you why it shouldnt be fixed.

Glen, I have a Briggs (OHV) 206 Intek 5.5 on a power washer that won't start. I adjusted the valves, have a good spark, tried starter fluid and don't even get a putt. Key in the fly wheel is good. I took it to my local Lawn shop and he gave up on it. I used it only three times before this problem. any suggestions???. Thanks for the help. R McG

i got the same lawn mower for free from a neighbor and he hasent cracked it for 2years im 15 and had it running in two days i put a glass pack on it and a smaller pulley it will go about 40 now and i still mow my yard and the neighbors but thanks my were lose i fixed and i put a push button and a toggle switch on it instead of a key but im having problems if u can help it make it easier thanks

You should always check factory specs for the specific engine you are working on. On this engine I believe the factory specs are something like ( .004 - .006 ) for both valves . The range is pretty close for most modern OHV lawn mower engines. As an engine ages some I like to close the gap some to compensate for wear. This is why I use .004 on almost all OHV engines like this. I hope this helps, Thanks.

Yes it could be the problem. Also worn rings causing blow-by or blown head gasket can also cause this. The breather valve maintains crankcase vacume. Allows air out while piston travels down, closes while piston travels up.

My lawnmower is weak. I cut some grass and it ran out of gas too fast. I put gas in it and it was still too week to really start up and stay on. I let it sit for 40 minutes and it came on like brand new. But I cut one 2 by 2ft patch of grass and it shut off instantly like it is 10 years old? It is a little over a year old. As your chain wears, your cassette (rear cog) wears also. If you wait too long before replacing your chain, your cassette will be too worn out (do the sprockets look like shark teeth?) and a new chain will skip on it. Gutta replace the cassette too.

I missed a question- sorry- sabbath says check the jack wiring and that is very likely. I have seen alot of output jacks wired backwards to where the ground wire is attached to the hot lug on the jack- its a recipie for extreme noise!

Hey Jason, awesome video. i have a problem on my strat, when i plug it in through my amp it buzzes but the sound still comes out i have to lower the gain etc. But when i plug it into my computer through line 6 guitar port it buzzes alot, so much that you can hardly hear the actual guitar. is this a problem with my pick ups? well shielding helps reduce 120 cycle hum which is generally greatly reduced by the string ground anyway. Fender guitars with un shielded wire- if the wiring is sloppy and longer than it really needs to be- i would go in and make the wires as short as possible which can reduce noise. I have played in so many places- thousands- and I have never had to shield a guitar like that. so to each his own I guess.

huh? The cable? That an evedence. The Chords- are you talking about the harmonized scale in the middle of the video?- thats just harmonizing each note in the major scale R -3-5 and then play it over a mixolydian mode- you know- major scale flat 7th. Its an expansion on a typical blues thing. Use the 5th of the major scale to build your scale from and there you go blah blah.

I also highly recommend Jason Lollar: really friendly and prompt at replying to questions. I own a Tele model guitar that I pimped up (really cool Picasso on it) with a Charlie Christian neck & a Tele '52 bridge pup + standard 0.011 string set. It sounds better than my Les Paul Standard 2008 and US Fender Strat Deluxe 2006, but my Tele outclasses both... It sounds truly amazing! Even with 21% import tax (damn) I'll still order from Jason again!

I highly recommend Lollar Blackface pick-ups in the neck and middle of a strat with Strat Special in the bridge. Also, may I add that Jason Lollar will promptly answer any of your questions via e-mail with great advice and a kind tone. I also have a Tele with a Low-Wind Imperial in the neck and a Tele Special in the bridge and it's an amazing combination. Worth every dollar cent. I plan on throwing Lollar in all my guitars as time progresses. Great products and great customer service!

I totally DON'T suggest to adjust your hydraulic discs yourself, the only need for that is if you're going on an extended tour through remote areas using hydraulics but no one does that. Adjusting hydraulics is hard and even not all mechanics do that well, it's an art. Just bring it to your local mech who knows about discs and he will adjust that. Dont do yourself, it's not one of thoe DIY things to do.

I have never done a valve adjustment that way before. I work at a lawnmower shop in south florida and Briggs schools always say go just past TDC and make sure your beyond compression relief stroke and adjust both intake and exhaust then. 4-6 thousandths is on most briggs v-twins

I just bought the Almay foundation with a bonus concealer at Big Lots for $5! Whoohoo!! I agree with you on the concealer; it seems to me to be pretty much worthless. I would have to both agree and disagree with you. your right i would say - in my experience they don't match your shade. i mixed mine on a white tile with a stick and it went foundation coloured so yeah. however i found that it coincedently matched me skin pretty well and blended nicely and thats all i want my foundation today anyway. your right about the coverage too though, i have the revlon one and it's pretty streaky =/

I was taught to use levels on low light photos, pull the level back to the beginning of the information, if you have info all the way across, leave it alone. Just about every tutorial on curves that I have seen shows you that you create an "S" curve by pulling the top curve up and the down curve down to form an "S". This guy if the first to do it HIS way. I tried it and it doesn't work as well as the "S" curve method. If you are watching this video, go and watch other videos as well and experiment before you get stuck in this method.

oh yeah, never thought to check those, but I raised the saddle a bit more. Didn't realize until after I looked at the strings that I was using extreme slinky's and they were too low, but I have never checked the tuners, would that cause it to fade out of pitch if they were loose?

okay so i've got a question, what if your low coiled strings still buzz but ONLY when you play a fret, when they're open they don't buzz, and I know the neck's slightly bowed, but it's barely enough to actually even SEE, I had to take the neck off just to see it (with supervision). Well I raised the saddles and no matter how high they go it still seems to buzz, is it because of the nut, the bow in the neck, or the gauge of string i'm using or a mixture? i'm on 9-42 I believe.

@Superfission you can do it yourself. but if your doing it for the first time, take notes and measurement of where it is before you start. that way if youre unhappy with what youve done you can go back to its previous setting

You are 100% right that the deposit creates a liability for us. Seems most common to construct a separate liability account named something like "Customer Deposits." To be "Unearned Revenue," the customer would be expecting us to do work for him or her in exchange for the cash paid to us. In a deposit scenario, the customer would be expecting to receive a cash payment from us under the terms agreed upon. Good and interesting question. Thanks.

Very useful explanation, thanks. Quick question, how do you deal with a deposit held to order an item for a customer? Is it simply an "unearned revenue"? Answer depends on what the bill is for: If for things to be consumed in the future [like rent, insurance, magazine subscription], the payment would relate to an asset. If for things already consumed [like electricity, parking ticket, restaurant food], the payment would relate to a liability. So, paying for things VERY MUCH before they are "due" could represent an asset. But paying for things already consumed would liquidate a liability, whether paid before they are "due" or not.

@cathwinch i have an MH400NT also, and if you go into drop tuning, you're going to have fret buzz on the 1st fret. I just did my truss rod right now and it sounds brilliant. They really should give you more relief when they set up their guitars with actives... most people go into drop C for metal. haha.

you've put on higher strings for drop C, they're thicker.. :p raise your action at the bridge. With a factory setup on an LTD (I have an MH400) there shouldn't be much relief. So unless you've upping the string tension (guage without tuning down) then you shouldn't be able to adjust the truss rod much. If the string tension goes up then the neck will bend and THEN you need to tighten the truss rod.

the bridge is probably the safest way to 'adjust' your strings and action and what not. however to get the guitar up to par, you cant omit one or the other. its all one instrument/all works together. i feel that most guitarists shy away from the truss rod and just make bridge adjustments, like i.

Remember guys you should NEVER adjust your truss rod while driving. If you crash you could potentially snap it or strip the threads. Anyway, I like to use a 1m ruler placed over the frets and a few feeler gauges to determine the relief, then tighten until the neck is straight, then adjust the bridge, then adjust the truss rod again if I hear buzzing.

lol i've been playing bass for 12 years and i was always iffy on the h whole truss rod issue. i watched this video and adjusted my new fretless bass. i was getting buzzing on my d,g and c string. so i loosen my truss rod almost a whole rotatiion. now my bass sounds awsome and no more buzzing on my imaginary fret 1 and 2. my harmonics even soundbetter! thank you internets and ivideosong man.

The answer to the question comes from within the firm - both are correct in difference circumstances. If you buy a 3-year insurance policy, dr. Asset; if you buy flight insurance at the airport, dr. I find this guy to be the best. His non fussy approach is commendable. In this video where he sets the chain on the middle cog and then adjusts the tension, I fine tuned it by reducing the tension till the the chain started to just make a noise. Then added the tension till it also started to make a noise. Whilst moving the tension I counted the clicks of the barrel adjuster,( in my case it was 6 clicks) I then reduced it by 3 click and the gear runs totally quiet. Try his brake setup. Tops!

he basically showed that the barrel adjuster is what you need to adjust to keep your chain to shift to the proper gear, sometimes people that get walmart bikes have chains that dont shift to the proper gear shown on their shifter, this vid would help them alot, people sometimes think its the Limit screws are the ones that change how the bike indexes its gears, nope its the barrel adjuster the limit screws just adjust how far out and far in the chain will go.

This is not correct. The barrel adjuster is used to adjust shifts between gears, not to prevent the chain from jumping off the cassette in the highest and lowest gears. Use the limit screws first to ensure the derailleur can't push the chain into the spokes or the frame and then adjust cable tension.

Democracy works in many Western Countries, because it's developed there for over 300 years. They need transparency, because this is how their society behaves. Japan can have successful democracy, because there's only one race, just like Korea and Taiwan. But similar kind of democracy fails in Thailand and Venezuela. It's really time for the Western countries to let other countries develop by their own.

I will try to explain it to you in even simpler terms... Asia sends products to America; America sends dollar bills to Asia; Asia does not like American goods (hence it has a trade surplus and America has a trade deficit), so they just lend the dollar bills to America (with interest, of course); cycle continues. Yes, Asia has lots of dollar-denominated assets, but at the expense of its own consumption.

You got it all wrong. They have been producing more than they consume, while exporting the rest in return for dollar bills that are then lent back to America. They have been forgoing current consumption in order to fund that of the West; once this stops, they are finally free to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Do yourself a favour and pick up an economics book.
