I'm talking about voltage because what I'm saying is the voltage is not high enough to make a dangerous current run through your body. You're right, but for there to be a current the voltage has to be high enough. The human body's resistance is too high for 12 V to be a danger. If this really was dangerous enough to justify wearing insulated gloves, they should have disconnected the battery leads before getting started.

The statement about what setting to use for your flash is completely incorrect. In order to clearly stop the motion of water you need to use the shortest flash duration as possible. That would mean that with a a camera flash you would need to use the lowest setting possible in order to actually speed up or shorten the amount of time that the flash is actually illuminated. The shutter speed is irrelevant.

yes, be careful not to use your nutrients above 50% strength in DWC though, roots will grow directly into your nutrient solution, which is why you want to keep the PPM low to prevent burning your plants. If you buy a tri-meter to monitor all of your values (PPM or EC, PH, TEMP) it's very easy to run your system without ever changing out your reservoir. Just top off with RO water..... and enzymes if handy. Z Z

The foam inserts for cloning purposes might be OK...but for growing purposes they would be a one time "use and throw away" (and buy new) deal. Hydroton is no big deal to wash out and can get re-used many times. Washing "dirty balls"? You gotta disinfect every system whether foam or Hydroton anyway once done with the growing cycle.

The easiest way to cool your reservoir is to either add more water, or bring cold air into your room, and let the air pump in your reservoir cool your reservoir down for you. Should be fairly easy.
