Interesting. I've tested myself I can read with 900 up to 1300 wpm I guess. Without missing a line or losing the comprehension or context. Never did special exercises. I've been always an afectionado of books and reading and tried to read as fast I can, since young age. Doesn't matter whether it's german or english. I'm more fluent in german but wpm is still the same. I just wonder is it special when you love reading or not?

If you try to focus a bit more on the context, you might have more clues to what things such as "scratch paper" and "attack dog" are referring to. "Scratch paper" usually means paper you use for a first version of your writing or drawing, before you edit it or redraw a more definitive version. It's also called a rough draft (the word rough reminds me of scratchy noises, I don't know why, sort of like a pencil quickly scratching the paper's surface.)

@UnFixCA- the first few times i tried this i kept dropping my pen but then watching the video again i noticed the angle he is holding the pencil at. dont spin the object (pen or pencil) perpendicular to your arm, really angle it and it should fall right into your hand. hope this helps.

If you present the same idea in lots of different ways then you can get the necessary repetition in to bed the facts down in memory or hone the skill being taught without the negative effects of boredom.

There are a few flaws to your argument: 1) As cognitive psychologists will be able to tell you: it takes a long more cognitive effort to process words than pictures. The test between auditory and visual inputs is not equitable and I must add that this is NOT a test that learning styles practitioners use. Your list test is flawed. For an auditory learner you would have the list of words & meanings and then play it. For the visual learner- word, definition & a picture. My dyslexic children learn the meaning of vocab words with a visual picture & the written word which makes it stick. My kinesthetic child builds the concept or word with legos along with the written word- it is amazing how she is able to learn complex medical terms that she struggles with when left with just a pen and pencil.

Good question! As I said in my video, in many other langauges you do use the nouns you've mentioned in the plural 'countable' form. However, these particular nouns are considered 'non-countable' in English. So it would be wrong to say 'furnitures', 'informations'. The only way to make these irregular non-countable nouns plural is by using 'a piece of ' or ' pieces of'.

Very intense video but lots of essential information. The differences between the different grammar aspects are very clear. I also liked the use of the American and British flags as visual aids with all the various captions. When making presentations like this one is there anyway you can cross out mistakes "The children is" and put a tick next to "The Children Is?" As that could be a better way for the students to distinguish between what's correct and what's incorrect.
