We watched this along with the 1992 Mel Gibson version. As part of my A-Level English Literature course. I remember my teacher preferred the Gibson version. I'm very new to this stuff, but I would say that it is definitely what Beckett would have wanted for this peice. For those of you who are saying "he only wrote this to confuse" you are stupid. He wrote it so you would think. So you would create your own story and interpretation. This, to me, is the magic of absurdism. One must construct the story yourself under the conditions of the dialogue, and what you see. Different. I love it.

Hamlet's inaction is highlighted in this version above his other qualities, especially because he's so sick of everything. There are many scenes in this version where Hamlet just lays on his bed looking through his film clips. Believable, but not the best and nor my favorite.
