dude i miss him so much in rob zombie. they suck live without him. joey jordison has no groove and its killing them live. i saw them on the golden god awards and they suck without john. John is one of my favorites. so much groove and taste with a perfect mixture of power and speed.

@xFunnySkitsx lol, a tama elite bubinga starclassic in the u.s will run you about 4 thousand for a 4 piece shell kit. here in australia where i live this kit would be about 10k. The imperialstar is OK, but its an entry level kit plain and simple. If its one of the best kits you have ever played on then i feel sorry for you as its been a wasted 10 years.

I wish I could do that Bernard Purdie, Jeff Porcaro inspired shuffle pattern. I need somebody to show it to me in person and I don't know anybody around where I live that knows. The videos I have seen on YouTube have people show it but they show it too fast. Simon is jack of all drumming trades.

the rack toms are alright but I don't recommend it because you lose some of the bottom end or "Punch" you get from deeper shells, but the attack is phenomenal :) The floor toms and bass drum do the job almost flawlessly as well

Well he did say he triggers it a lot. If he's triggering it during a show then it doesn't really need to be tuned if he's triggering exclusively.

About the triggers that you see there: first of all I only see triggers on the snares, that means that Brian uses them because, as he explains, Cristina has so many different styles that he needs almost a new different snare sound for every each song.. It's impossible to have a closer recording snare different sound for each song, just if he changed for a different snare every song he played at the show.. So before you make comments you must understand and learn before writing.. Brian is great.

Those are for electronic triggers so you don't have to use three kits (you get to use the same counds as the producer did in the studio), check his newer setup he basically has another kit to his left. The round discs are mutes...kinda like moon gels.

Well its all personal preference. How you hold your drum sticks, what techniques you use, all that good stuff just depends on the drummer(and sometimes their equipment). Like Akira Jimbo, I pretty sure he keeps his cymbols hi in the air because they would cause triggering problems for the inputs on his kit. But that could just be how he likes them. Well keep drumming!!

I just bought the Morgan rose signature snare. I have never dealt with a steel snare before, and was wondering if the drum will ever rust? I wasnt sure because i have seen some rust on my drum hardware before, and I just wanted to know if there is any maintenance that comes with owning a steel snare to keep this from happening?
